The Dymo Rhino 4200 LabelWriter label maker prints labels up to 3/4" wide on nylon, polyester and vinyl labels plus heat shrink tubing. It's equipped with a one touch "Hot Key" that formats & creates a variety of labels and cable wraps, as well as a "Favorites" key for commonly used labels, symbols and terms. "Custom" key allows for customized label settings to be saved. It features a library of over 150 symbols & terms. Dymo 4200 label maker includes 3/4" white flex nylon tape. Runs on 6AA standard or Li-Ion batteries, not included.

I had seen an ad for the Rhino 4200 online and the price caught my eye. This is almost as functional as the more expensive Rhino 5200 and above. Its ability to print on the more durable Rhino series labels and ability to print flag style labels is what I wanted most. I really like the QWERTY keyboard layout, it's much easier to use than my 200 which I have to "hunt & peck" to type a label. If you want a label maker for the garage this is great, the rubber bumpers on the corner protect the unit from falls. The instructions don't specify but my D1 labels fit and work, so your not stuck with just the Rhino series of labels. I was trying to talk my boss into buying the 5200 or the 6000 with no luck. When I saw the 4200 at the Rhino booth of coarse I started to ask questions about the comparability of the 4200 with the other more expensive models. When I found out that it will do almost as much as the 5200 and the 6000 I had to buy one. For a MSRP of about $80, it is a great deal, plus being able to use up to a 3/4 inch ribbon and it is the only Rhino that has a QWERTY keyboard makes it even better. If you are just starting out and in need of a label maker, this is the guy to get you going. Between the price and functionality, you can't go wrong. I had been using a prior version for more than 10 years. With little modifications was used to print shrink tubes. This one was designed specifically for this job. Works fine!
